Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 6, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Answerley(“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our AI phone-answering service (the “Service”), and the choices you have. It covers both the information of account owners and the information of people who call your business line.

Information we collect

  • Account information: your name, business name, email, phone number, and the greetings, hours, services, and knowledge you configure.
  • Call data: caller phone number, audio processed in real time to answer the call, transcripts of the conversation, and the structured summaries and messages we generate for you.
  • Billing information: handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Usage and technical data: basic logs and diagnostics needed to operate and secure the Service.

How we use information

  • To answer your calls, take messages, and book appointments as you configure;
  • To deliver call summaries to you by email and in your dashboard;
  • To provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service;
  • To process payments and manage your subscription;
  • To communicate with you about your account, trial, and billing.

How we share information

We share information only as needed to run the Service, with providers acting on our behalf:

  • Twilio — telephone connectivity for inbound calls;
  • Google — speech and language AI used to understand and respond to callers;
  • Supabase and our infrastructure providers — hosting and database storage;
  • Stripe — payment processing;
  • Resend — email delivery of your call summaries and account notices.

We do not sell your information or your callers’ information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.

Google user data (Google Calendar)

If you choose to connect your Google Calendar, we request the Google Calendar scopes calendar.events and calendar.freebusy. We use this access solely to provide the calendar features you turn on:

  • Check your availability (free/busy) so the assistant can offer open appointment times;
  • Create and update calendar events for appointments booked or confirmed through the Service;
  • Read back an event we created to confirm the booking was written.

We access Google user data only to provide these features at your direction. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not use it to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine-learning models. We store only the encrypted OAuth token needed to keep the connection working (encrypted at rest) and the identifiers of events we create — we do not copy or retain the rest of your calendar. You can disconnect at any time from the Appointments screen, which deletes our stored access.

Answerley’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Call recordings and transcripts

To answer a call, the Service processes the caller’s audio in real time and creates a transcript and summary that we store so you can review what happened. If you turn on call recording in your settings, callers hear a recording notice before the assistant speaks, the audio of assistant-answered calls is stored, delivered to you by email, and playable in your dashboard, and recordings are deleted automatically after 90 days. You are responsible for providing any additional notice or obtaining any consent required in your jurisdiction before calls are recorded or transcribed (see our Terms of Service).

Data retention

We keep account and call information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, security, and accounting obligations. You can request deletion of your data as described below.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect information, including encryption of sensitive credentials and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can view and update much of your information in your dashboard. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To make a request, email us at support@answerley.com.

Children

The Service is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in the dashboard. The “Last updated” date above shows the latest revision.
